Who we are?
DinaFarms belongs to Dina for Agriculture Investments Company,
a member of the Osman Group (OG). The group is considered as
one of the largest and most reputable corporations in the Middle
East whose history goes back to the early 1950s.

DinaFarms was founded in the late 1980s by a prominent Egyptian figure who was devoted to the development of the Egyptian desert land. For its first 10 years, DinaFarms was shaped by its founding president Mr. Hussein Osman who wanted to create a model farm based on high standards of management and technological practices to contribute to the national economic growth and good character of the future sustainable development of Egypt and the region.
The development of DinaFarms started with the reform and cultivation of 1,500 acres close to the end of 1987. Planning our work was based on our previous tremendous national experimental scheme in Salhya, and our experiences gained during our visits to newly desert development farms in southern states of the USA, which are to some extent similar to our deserts.
After one year of establishing the infrastructure and cultivating
the land, the acre reached its marginal productivity. During
the following three years, the output of a single integrated
acre (agriculture, animal production, agro-industries, commercial)
reached four times that of four traditional acres. Within the
following three years, we were able to reach our originally
established goal. Then we extended the cultivated area to reach
4,000 acres. At this point, we were able to confirm and prove
that DinaFarms became a new reality in the Egyptian desert.
And now, DinaFarms exists as a demonstrative integrated project
on 10,000 acres comprising a model community for integrated
desert agriculture built on progressive scientific and technological
foundations comparable to the successful agrarian schemes in
countries of Europe and America.
